After a difficult start when a previous client delayed the team, Smart Movers came through for me. Firstly, they offered a compensatory discount to change the date which I declined. I explained that I was traveling the next day and needed the move at all costs. They thus committed and made it happen. Eventually two teams were mobilized to sort me out.. I was impressed by the Manager’s communication as well as the pleasant attitude and positive problem-solving approach of the team. I’m so happy with Smart Movers. The whole team were friendly, helpful and genuinely lovely to deal with from beginning to end. It was an incredibly long moving day, and I have a lot of antique furniture, art and fragile pieces that I was quite anxious about moving. On top of that, the last part of the journey was over sand roads, but everything arrived safely and in one piece. They worked so hard, stayed cheerful and kept their sense of humour the entire day, which made a stressful move feel much easier. They were also very well priced for the amount of work involved. We had a really good experience with Smart Mover and would definitely recommend them. The team arrived on time with their truck and immediately got to work. They wrapped all of our furniture and belongings carefully in black plastic pallet wrap, and used additional bubble wrap on some of the more fragile items. Since we were moving out of an apartment, they also had to carry everything down the stairs, and they took great care to handle our belongings properly and make sure everything was well protected. Unfortunately, there was an issue with our fridge. Despite the team being careful with it and there being nothing obvious at the time that would have suggested it could be damaged, the fridge ended up with fairly significant dents on both the side and the front door. What really impressed us, though, was how Smart Mover handled the situation afterwards. The owner took responsibility for the issue and replaced our fridge with a brand-new one of the exact same model. Our fridge was still very new, so we really appreciated that they didn't try to make excuses or avoid the situation. The entire matter was resolved within a week of the incident. Mistakes can happen when moving, but what matters is how a company responds when something goes wrong. In our experience, Smart Mover handled it exceptionally well, and their willingness to make things right has left us with a very positive impression.
